Let’s pretend. Let’s imagine it’s Sunday night and I’m planning a busy Monday morning, including an assignment due at 9 a.m.
Then, my husband remembers that his truck needs to be at the autobody shop at 8 a.m but he has to be at work before that — say, 6 a.m. The shop doesn’t have a key drop-off service. It’s be there at 8 a.m. or rebook, which could take months.
I — being, hypothetically, the kind soul that I am — stay up late finishing my assignment. I wake up at 5:15 in the morning, drive him to work in a blizzard, come back home, drive his truck to the shop for 8 a.m. (still in blizzard), wait for a taxi to take me home, the taxi doesn’t come (still in blizzard), and eventually one of the mechanics drives me home in his boss’ truck so I can be on time for an appointment.
Boy, if that happened, I’d think I’d deserve presents. Heaps of ’em. Wouldn’t you?
Moving right along, Tiffany & Co. announced yesterday that they will be opening a shop in Chinook Centre this spring. The approximately 4,100-square-foot store be Tiffany’s fourth stand-alone store in Canada and the first in Calgary.
In case anyone (like someone whose truck I dropped off in the early a.m.) is wondering, I made a list of a few of my favourite pieces from Tiffany’s.
